A re-hosting emulation is exactly the same – the complete legacy system ist moved from one environment to another, without changing the functionality. Existing mainframe structures are broken down and linked to open systems. This results in short project times and a rapid reduction of operating costs with a low risk factor, as the existing functionality remains unaffected. However no real technolgy transfer takes place.
