At the joint stand of the state of NRW in hall 7 stand 7-403 we present our comprehensive 360-degree security approach. This includes several aspects of the increasingly complex world of IT security. This year, the so-called SOC is particularly in focus.
SOC – everything in sight

Privileged Identity Management – special protection for privileged accounts with biometrics
Another focus topic at this year’s it-sa is Privileged Identity Management. Privileged accounts are one of the most popular targets for hackers and attackers – quite logically. If an attacker has control over an account with many permissions, he can cause a lot of damage, see a lot of data and may even remain unrecognized. In order to prevent this, such accounts must be specially protected. It requires a clear and above all secure Privileged Access Management System.
One way to protect such accounts is biometrics. Biometric features such as fingerprints or facial recognition are much safer than "normal" passwords. They can not only be combined with other features (multifactor authentication), but also be centrally managed and logged thanks to the intelligent biometrics management suite BioShare.
