Home Office: Many "bad" words

Working in the Home Office

In our series "TWINSOFT'ler im Home Office" Julian tells you (with a wink) how he puts home office, home schooling and his passion running in his daily routine – and asks himself the question: When is it okay to drink a beer?

7:30 – Get up as if I were going to the office... first a latte macchiato

8:00 – Start of work, but... two bad-humored boys come down the stairs and want breakfast, so... make breakfast for Ben and Tim, then a latte macchiato for my wife...and smear break bread – so that home schooling feels really authentic!

What is a "FLICK-UP"?

8:30 – Start of school, but ... the boys first of all say a lot of bad words ... after some grumbling then math and German.

11:00 – We play school break in the garden...the Fortuna football challenge for all youth teams. Today the daily task is to show as many "FLICK-UP’s" as possible. I wonder first what a "FLICK-UP" is and then when I can drink the first beer...

So many bad words

12:30 – Lunch ... my wife is also cooking at noon now, because the boys do not have an open full-day school. "Do you like spinach?"...the guys say a lot of bad words...

13:00 – My sales colleague calls and likes to say a lot of bad words because something we’re both waiting for is still not there... we practice patience. As best we can.

Beer or running – or both?

15:00 – I despair. The boys are yelling and I still can’t continue working properly because I’m missing important information ... I’m a bad father ... and a bad product manager ...

16:00 – I despair more and more, I have been searching for important documents on our server for half an hour and cannot find them. I want to drink my first beer... or walk!

17:00 – I decide that it is now okay to drink my first beer... a beautiful Augustinian from my home country of Bavaria. On Corona – and that it is hopefully soon over! I postpone running until tomorrow...should it be a nice day again...?
