NIS 2 Directives

A very warm hello,

Today we would like to inform you about the technical aspects of the NIS 2 Directive adopted by the European Union. The Network and Information Security Directive 2 aims to ensure that EU Member States have a sufficient level of network and information security to effectively counter cyberattacks.

The NIS 2 Directive extends its scope compared to the first version of 2016 and now also covers sectors such as transport, water and health. Critical infrastructure operators must also take into account the dependence on external services and suppliers in the field of cybersecurity.

As your IT security contact, we want to ensure that our customers are optimally prepared. We therefore recommend that you review your security measures and ensure that you comply with the requirements of the NIS 2 policy. This includes introducing minimum safety standards and improving the safety culture in companies and organizations. Of course, we support you – please contact us.

We guarantee that our partners and suppliers interact with the latest NIS 2 and meet all requirements.

By 17 July 2023, the Commission will present guidelines for the adoption of cybersecurity risk management measures. A good year later, by 17.10.2024, EU member states must take and publish the necessary measures to comply with NIS 2. We will keep you up-to-date on further developments in this area and will be at your disposal if you have any questions.

Congratulations,

Your TWINSOFT
